The Robopack Team

We have launched a dedicated documentation site for Robopack, built from the ground up to help you get the most out of automated app packaging and patch management for Microsoft Intune.

What's on the site

The documentation site is organised into four main sections:

Tutorials

Step-by-step guides that walk you through common workflows from start to finish:

  • Setting up your free trial
  • Connecting your Intune tenant
  • Deploying your first app
  • Deploying custom apps with your own installers
  • Automating app updates with Robopatch
  • Enabling Radar Tracking to discover unmanaged software
  • Configuring script templates, RBAC, and Custom App Settings

Feature documentation

Detailed reference pages for every major Robopack feature:

  • Instant Apps — how the 30,000+ app catalogue works, version availability, and what each package includes
  • Robopatch — deployment waves, patch groups, supersedence, wave time limits, detection methods, and Autopilot support
  • Radar Tracking — how device scanning works, tracking modes, the 24-hour refresh cycle, and group naming
  • Custom Packaging — uploading your own installers, VM testing, Custom App Settings, Script Accessory Files, and the {{[supportFiles]}} variable
  • Script Templates — PSADT v3 and v4 support, dialog options, deferrals, Apps to Close, logging, and code signing
  • Roles & Permissions — available roles, Entra ID integration, and per-tenant access control
  • Multi-Tenant Management — connecting multiple tenants, per-tenant settings, and MSP/partner features
  • Certificates & Package Signing — how script signing works and how to use your own certificates

Troubleshooting

Practical solutions to common issues, organised by area:

  • Tenant connection and permissions problems
  • App deployment and detection failures
  • Robopatch flow issues (stuck flows, incorrect percentages, supersedence)
  • Radar Tracking errors and group population
  • PSADT script template and signing issues
  • Role and permission configuration

We have also added an Application Notes section with deployment tips for specific apps that require special handling — including Adobe Acrobat Reader, Google Chrome, Spotify, 1Password, Notepad++, SQL Server Management Studio, and others.

FAQ and Known Limitations

A comprehensive FAQ covering the most common questions we receive, from "Where do apps come from?" to "How does supersedence work?" and "What does error code 0x0 mean?"

The Known Limitations page lists current platform and feature limitations with their expected timelines, so you always know what is supported today and what is coming next.

Built from real support conversations

Much of the content on the new site was informed by real questions and issues raised through our support channels. If you have asked us a question, there is a good chance the answer is now documented and searchable.

The site includes full-text search across all documentation, tutorials, and blog posts — so you can find what you need quickly.

What's next

We will continue to expand the documentation as new features ship. If you spot something missing or have a suggestion, reach out to us at support.robopack.com.
