Partner organisations
Partner organisations are designed for MSPs and resellers. They let you set up a customer as their own Robopack organisation, create a customer trial, and later convert that trial into a paid customer organisation. The customer keeps their own Robopack access and is attached to you as a partner, so their environment stays in their own organisation.
You manage this from Partner > Organisations.
A partner organisation is the customer's own organisation. Their team can sign in to Robopack and manage their environment. You can manage it for them too, as long as you have a user in that customer's organisation.
Which should I use?

| Cross-customer Patch Flows and Patch Groups | Managed within each organisation | Yes |
| Trial to paid conversion | Yes | Not applicable |
| Best for | Customers whose own team needs access | Simple, fully managed customers you run end to end |
When to use partner organisations
Use partner organisations when:
- The customer's own team needs to sign in to Robopack and make changes to their environment.
- You want to start a customer on a trial and convert it to a paid organisation later.
- You want the customer to stay attached to your partner account while keeping their data in their own organisation.
If you fully manage the customer and they do not need their own login, see Multi-tenant management.
Create a customer trial
From Partner > Organisations, create a new organisation for the customer to start their trial. Once created:
- The customer has their own Robopack organisation with its own data and users.
- You can manage the organisation on the customer's behalf if you have a user in it.
- The trial can be converted into a paid customer organisation when the customer is ready.
Managing a partner organisation
To act inside a customer's partner organisation, you need a user in that organisation. With a user in place, you can configure packages, patching, and other settings the same way the customer can.
Because each partner organisation is separate, changes you make in one customer's organisation do not affect any other customer, and the customer's own team can keep working alongside you.
