Robopack API
Use Robopack’s public V1 API to connect scripts and integrations to your Robopack organisation. Search the Instant Apps library, import and create packages, upload packages to Intune, manage Robopatch flows and deployments, and read Radar data.
This is the API for the Robopack product. Your SoftwareCentral or Tenant Manager connection does not connect a tenant in Robopack. The Customer ID used to sign in to these documentation sites is separate from API authentication.
Start here
- Make your first request using an API key and a read-only library search.
- Understand authentication and permissions, including the tenant permissions needed by the API’s virtual user.
- Browse the endpoint reference for exact parameters, request bodies, response fields and enums.
- Follow a practical guide to search apps, read Radar information or import and upload an app.
The documentation is public. Calling the API uses a key from your Robopack organisation and the applicable permissions. You do not need to sign in to these docs to read the reference.
What can you automate?
| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Instant Apps | Search the library, inspect an app and import a version as a package. |
| Packages and content | List and inspect packages, create a package, upload its content and download package files or PDF documentation. |
| Script templates | List templates, inspect their settings and retrieve their images. |
| Tenants | List connected tenants, upload a package to Intune and check an upload task. |
| Robopatch flows | List and inspect flows, create a flow and add a deployment. |
| Deployments and waves | Read deployment progress, start or stop a deployment, advance a wave and update app content. |
| Radar | Read discovered applications and device information for a tenant. |
An API manual upload to Intune does not keep the app up to date automatically. Use Robopatch flows when you need ongoing patch management. The import and upload guide explains the difference.
Finding the right endpoint
The reference is grouped by resource and has a page for each operation. Search these docs for a task such as search Instant Apps, a method and path such as GET /v1/app, or a response field such as internalState. Each page links to the relevant request and response models.
Only the documented V1 API is supported for external integrations. Other endpoints you see in the app’s browser network requests are internal and unsupported. Custom App Settings are not currently supported through the API; see Known Limitations.
Reference version
The reference overview records the OpenAPI version, export date and operation count. The reference includes the published parameter and schema descriptions. Where the definition does not specify a value or behavior, the guides identify that gap instead of inventing a setting.
You can also download the OpenAPI definition for use with API tooling. The in-app viewer remains available under Settings > API integration > API documentation.
