Troubleshooting

Start with Settings → Setup Guide. Re-run the relevant connection test and use its error message to identify the failing connection.

ProblemWhat to check
Installer failsRead SoftwareCentralInstaller_Log.txt beside the installer. Complete missing prerequisites and restart if requested.
SCCM connection failsVerify the site/server details, WMI access and service-account permissions. Test the SCCM database connection separately.
Package share is inaccessibleCheck the configured share and access for the SoftwareCentral service account. Test from the web server.
Sign-in or initial setup failsCheck administrator-group membership and the chosen authentication method. For Azure OpenID, check the redirect URI matches the site's URL.
Robopack connection failsCheck the API URL and key in the Setup Guide's Robopack card, then select Test connection.
A custom Robopack app is missingCheck that the API key belongs to the organisation where the app was packaged. See custom app integration.
An SCCM app is missing or cannot be managedClear the Apps filters, check your access and the configured SCCM roots, then review the collection structure below.
An import or deployment failsOpen Downloads for the import result and the app's Install Status for device results. Check content distribution, requirements, detection and the target device's reported error.
Scheduled work is not runningConfirm the SoftwareCentral service is running under Settings → Service Manager, then inspect the SoftwareCentral log.

Existing SCCM applications and collections​

SoftwareCentral needs to resolve an application's install collection within its configured collection structure. Applications with missing or conflicting collections may need mending. Mending creates or adjusts SCCM collections and deployments, so review the mending guide before applying it.

Get help​

Contact the customer support portal for Application Manager installation and configuration. Include the SoftwareCentral version, failed step or connection test, application name and relevant error message. Remove passwords, API keys and other secrets from screenshots and logs.
